Job Description
This is a nine-month, tenure-track position. Teach 12 credit hours per semester in finance at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The primary teaching area of responsibility is corporate finance with the opportunity to teach in the areas of investments and financial institutions. The instructional component of the faculty unit member’s responsibilities may include both traditional and virtual learning environments, classroom and non-classroom teaching activities, and may include, but not limited to, development of new courses or new instructional materials. Academic advising, supervising, mentoring, and consulting with campus and virtual students as well as reporting assessment data for any associated learner outcomes and assisting with analysis and closing the loop. Conduct research in the area of specialization. The faculty will stay current in his field of finance through active research. Scholarly activities include research, writing, presentation, publication and creative activities appropriate to the faculty member’s discipline. The faculty should attend at least one conference during the calendar year, develop a research agenda and outline a plan for scholarly activities, and continue to pursue research, grant applications, and publications in their area of expertise. The faculty will also participate in departmental, college, and university activities.
Requirements: All but dissertation (ABD) toward completing a PhD in Finance from an accredited school. At least one year of experience teaching finance is also required

The Department of Economics, Finance, and Accounting is one of four departments in the Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship at FHSU and offers outstanding undergraduate and graduate instruction in the accounting, economics, and finance disciplines. Currently, the degree and majors offered by the department are a B.B.A. in Accounting; a B.B.A. in Accounting with a concentration in public accounting, a B.B.A. in Finance, a B.B.A. in Finance with concentrations in banking, economics, and financial planning; and a B.B.A. in International Business and Economics.
