Assistant Professor of Marketing and Fashion Merchandising

The Department of Accountancy, Business, and Economics invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Fashion Merchandising scheduled to begin August 2024. The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate courses, including a 4/4 teaching load, while also supporting expectations for advising, college service, and scholarship. The successful candidate will teach a variety of marketing courses such as general marketing, consumer behavior, retailing, social medial marketing, brand management, marketing research, and international marketing. Optimally, the candidate could also teach fashion content including Introduction to Fashion Merchandising, Textiles, Visual Merchandising and Fashion Promotion, Product Development and Assortment Planning, Retailing, and the Evolution of Fashion. Preference will be given to applicants that have previous teaching experience as well as industry experience. It is expected that the successful candidate will maintain a commitment to excellence in teaching, diversity, scholarship, and service as defined by Adrian College. Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, and/or Fashion, Apparel or Textiles, or related field.
Desired Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion and related field
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous higher education teaching experience
