Teaching and Research Associate
We are seeking to appoint a new Teaching and Research Associate (International Health and Tropical Medicine) to join our Academic Programme Centre within the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
With the increasing technical needs required to deliver high-quality lectures for both in person and remote learning, as part of the MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine (IHTM) academic team, you will contribute to the teaching and development of the curriculum of IHTM teaching modules. The Teaching and Research Associate will contribute to teaching on the course as well as developing and conducting pedogeological research using course data to further enhance course content and modes of delivery. You will be working closely with the course team, liaising between academic and administrative staff and students to ensure high-quality learning experience. This will include opportunities to help shape and develop course content via working with module leaders and course director team to align teaching content, and development of student-facing materials.
It is essential that you hold a Masters qualification in Global Health or related field, with demonstrable relevant research experience. You will have sufficient depth and breadth of knowledge in the subject to develop course content and research proposals, alongside an ability to manage and coordinate activities, such as university course or module. You will have experience in working in multicultural environments and as part of multidisciplinary teams, with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse students and high profiles lecturers.
