The Department of Geography and Resource Management (GRM) is recruiting a Teaching Assistant. Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor degree, preferably a good Master degree with some relevant teaching experience; (ii) a background in geography and resource management, tourism and hospitality, environmental science or related disciplines; (iii) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); (iv) solid knowledge of project management, social media, information technologies, and preferably some skills in the use of Gen-AI; and (v) a proactive work attitude and a strong sense of responsibility with good organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
The appointee will report to the Programme Director of the MSSc Programme in Sustainable Tourism. Duties include (a) conducting and coordinating work for teaching support and programme administration; (b) supporting tutorials, field trips, and other teaching-learning activities; and (c) assisting in the preparation of course materials/classes, student consultation/supervision, as well as other academic activities and administrative duties as assigned by the programme and the GRM Graduate Division.
Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for one year commencing August 2026 or as soon as practicable thereafter, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.
