Responsibilities
The individual hired will be expected to contribute to the growth of the department through administrative and instructional work in association with the department’s online and in-person degree programs. Administrative responsibilities include oversight of the admissions processes for the online degree program, as well as advisory responsibilities with students admitted to the online degree program. Instructional responsibilities include teaching in-person and online courses.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for the position include: earned doctorate degree in Sport Management or related field; college/university teaching experience, particularly experience teaching online courses; experience with administrative and advising tasks, or evidence of ability to complete such tasks. An individual’s teaching expertise should align with one of the department’s core content areas: Legal and Policy Issues, Management, Marketing, and Media and Culture Studies.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to individuals with prior experience developing online courses, familiarity with Quality Matters, program administration, and advising graduate students. Preference will also be given to individuals with teaching expertise aligned with business-related content (e.g., marketing, finance, economics, management).

Other Information
The position is a twelve-month, Specialized Faculty I or II Teaching Professor position. The position is non-tenure earning and includes summer employment. We seek a colleague committed to teaching and advising. The anticipated start date for the position is August 10, 2026. Salary will be commensurate with an individual’s experience.
