  • Remuneration: $158,080 to $165,606 pa (HEW9) (inclusive of $133,579 to $139,939 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Technical Services Manager (Clinical and Simulation) to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Health.

The Technical Services Manager (Clinical and Simulation) will work with the Senior Manager, Technical Services, Space and Assets in the Faculty of Health to support the Faculty’s delivery of undergraduate teaching and research across a broad range of academic disciplines. This position is responsible for effective operations across the activities which relate to practical component of undergraduate teaching, facilities management and compliance targets. The Technical Services Manager is a highly agile and responsive role that provides leadership in a dynamic environment to meet institutional key performance indicators and deliver excellence in teaching, research and external engagement. This role will directly supervise a leadership team located across multiple buildings and campuses, who coordinate and deliver support for clinical areas and simulated learning and research environments.

What you need to succeed

1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in health and/or science 

related disciplines in a university or institute setting. 

2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, in a variety of formats and for variety of audiences, with evidence of strong collaborations. 

3. Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities for change that provide strategic value in an environment of continuous improvement, with a proven record of successfully managing projects to completion. 

4. Proven effective leadership and management skills that drive team work, high performance and excellence in service provision across a variety of specialist functions including monitoring performance, the provision of feedback, workload allocation, and identifying training and development needs 

5. Demonstrated experience in budget management and in the management and implementation of projects within agreed 

timeframes (including scoping, planning, delivery and post-implementation review). 

6. Demonstrated experience in managing compliance targets in health and/or science related disciplines.
