The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.


Position Summary

The candidate will participate in the collection and analysis of maternal/fetal/infant physiological and behavioral data in support of research on the effects of prenatal exposures to a variety of risk factors such as premature birth, and neurodevelopmental disorders or delays.


Responsibilities

  • Assisting with high density EEG studies, cross sensory associative learning paradigms, and developmental assessments of children.
  • Preparation, processing, entering, and analysis of data collected.
  • Candidate will follow research protocols as outlined in our standard operating procedures and the IRB protocol.
  • Candidate will report to a supervisor daily, typically via email or slack or written QC reports and documentation.
  • Send a weekly summary report with the research project administrator, as well as attend and participate in weekly lab and grant meetings.
  • Perform related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent in education, training and experience.

Other Requirements

  • Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.
  • This position will require travel to CUIMC and White Plains to assist with data collection
  • Previous experience working with children and families.
  • Knowledge of programming and processing in R, programming and utilizing REDCap, and Excel
  • Experience conducting neurodevelopment learning paradigms
  • Ability to set up and conduct experiments or activities according to established protocols and record data
  • Familiarity with computerized operations and execution of automated processes
  • Ability to work under general supervision and in team science
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
