Temporary Culinary Instructor Assistant

Under supervision of Executive Chef and/or culinary team, the culinary specialist will assist with the preparation and serving of food, purchasing of food, proper food handling, proper knife and equipment handling, proper sanitation, set-up of line in orderly fashion, customer service and cleaning of equipment including pots and pans.
- 40% Food Preparation: Preparation of food according to daily specifications. Preparing hot food for service, re-heating on site production-follows proper safe food guidelines. Prepare food orders and make sure production schedules are met. Assist with catering and special events. Sets up food items, condiments, and utensils. Prepare and serve salads.
- 20% Serving: Provide efficient and friendly customer service consistent with planned menu and portion control. Assist with catering and special events. Serves salads, vegetables, meat, breads, sauces, desserts, and beverages. Replenish foods at cooking and serving stations.
- 20% Stocking/Cleaning: Stock and replenish inventory for assigned stations. Stock incoming inventory in assigned areas. Clean and maintain assigned areas. Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, pots, and pans. Maintain line in an orderly fashion.
- 20% Miscellaneous: Other duties as assigned.
Required: Looking for 2-3 years of any type of food service experience. Knowledge of food preparation. Knowledge of safe food handling guidelines. Operating equipment correctly, stocking ability. Cleaning and sanitizing. Skill to communicate clearly to a variety of people. Speak, write, and understand the English language. 2-3 years of any type of food service experience.
Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.

Payrate: $21.05/hour
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
