Temporary Faculty Health Sciences and Kinesiology - Exercise Science
Job Summary
The Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology is now accepting applications for a pool of part time instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Part Time Instructor in Exercise Science requires the individual to teach no more than two courses that may include Fitness Evaluation and Exercise Prescription.
Required Qualifications
- Earned Master's Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology, by May 15, 2026.
- Credentials to teach exercise physiology, structural kinesiology, fitness evaluation, research methods, and/or exercise prescription including laboratory experiences
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
- Ability and/or willingness to learn to teach in an online environment
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment in the Department, College, and University
- Technological literacy and a commitment to integrate technology into teaching
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of full-time college/university teaching in exercise science or closely related field
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
