Temporary Part-Time Faculty Positions in Biology, Fall 2026
Job Summary
Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hire employees with experience working with diverse populations.
The Department of Biology invites applications for two half-time temporary faculty positions to teach lecture and/or labs for majors and non-majors introductory biology courses for the Fall 2026 semester. Preference will be given to applicants whose area of teaching expertise fits the needs of the department. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly/professional growth; and service. Successful interview and demonstration of relevant teaching ability required. Salary is competitive.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Biology or a related field and one year of college-level teaching experience or equivalent is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. is highly preferred.
