"Temporary Research Assistant"

Position Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience at the New Jersey Medical School.

Under supervision performs and assists with laboratory services and procedures in support of research activities of the laboratory. Performs other related laboratory duties as required.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Conducts proteins analyses including lysis of cells/tissues, Western blotting, and protein concentration measurements.
• Performs cells and proteins labeling and imaging.
• Assists in cell culture.
• Prepares stock solutions and buffers for the above duties.
• Keeps detailed records of procedures and experiments. Required to compile data and present results using Microsoft office.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Master's in science (MS).
