The Chemistry Department at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor in experimental organic chemistry or closely related subfields, beginning fall semester 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach foundational and advanced classes and labs in organic chemistry, and may contribute to the teaching of general chemistry classes and labs or other advanced courses and labs in their area of expertise. Successful candidates will also direct an undergraduate research program and participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. Colgate is a vibrant liberal arts university of 3,200 students situated in central New York state. Qualifications

A PhD in chemistry or a closely related field is required. Postdoctoral research experience is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise and research interests that complement existing department expertise. Candidates that overlap with bioorganic chemistry are especially encouraged to apply.
