Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Developmental Psychology
The Department of Psychology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Developmental Psychology to begin in August 2026. This position is open to applicants with expertise in any area of developmental psychology. The successful candidate will maintain a cohesive and independent research program that meaningfully engages undergraduate students. In addition to the courses Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, or Research Methods, the ideal candidate will teach new or existing intermediate and advanced courses on developmental topics. We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach Introduction to Psychology and additional courses that enhance our existing curriculum.
This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a research leave prior to tenure review of either a full year at 80% salary or a semester at full salary, and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. To enable a smooth transition to Holy Cross, new full-time tenure-track Assistant Professors receive start-up funding to support their research and professional development and have a one-course reduction in their first year of teaching (i.e., 2-2). This position offers full benefits and a starting salary in the range of $101,850 to $103,850. Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate (1) excellence in scholarship in any area of developmental psychology, (2) excellence in undergraduate teaching, (3) innovative ideas for developing and refining courses relevant to this position, and (4) a commitment to inclusive pedagogies. A Ph.D. in developmental psychology or a related field is required by the beginning of the appointment.
