"Tenure-Track Faculty Positions at the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials"

IMRAM at Tohoku University invites applications for open tenure-track assistant and associate professor positions. We're seeking passionate researchers in fields including material science, nanotechnology, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, life sciences, and molecular biology. Successful candidates will lead groundbreaking research, mentor young scientists, and contribute to internationalization and education missions.

The initial appointment is a fixed-term position for 7 years, with a comprehensive tenure review in the fifth year. Candidates passing the review will be promoted to a tenured Associate Professor position as an independent Principal Investigator.

Required qualifications: Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Compensation includes a competitive annual salary based on Tohoku University’s guidelines. Working hours are flexible under the Discretionary Labor System.

Start-up support includes 1 million JPY to 5 million JPY annually. Submit materials via the designated Google Form by October 12, 2025.
