The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing invites applications for a tenure track or tenured position, at the level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank, with a start date of September 1, 2026.
Tenured/tenure-track faculty contribute to the College’s research and educational strengths with the vision and experience to advance our global mission. Tenured/tenure-track faculty at Meyers develop and grow a robust extramurally funded and impactful program of research; expertly teach across our academic programs; perform service activities at NYU, with the communities we serve, and as leaders within local, national, and global professional organizations; and advocate for policies to advance health.
We seek faculty with emerging or established research programs grounded in:
- Innovative clinical applications for technology and artificial intelligence
- Community participatory methods
And applied through one of the established NYU Meyers research pillars:
- Aging, Serious Illness
- Precision Population Health & Management of Chronic Conditions
- Maternal, Sexual, and Reproductive Health
- Nursing-Related Health Services Research
- Symptom Management
- Technology-Enhanced Delivery of Services

The Meyers Biological Laboratory, a Biosafety Level 2 facility, processes human biospecimens (blood, saliva) and offers DNA and RNA extraction, genotyping using PCR and qPCR techniques, and secure long-term sample storage (-20°C and -80°C). The laboratory coordinates specimen transportation and facilitates collaborations with NYU core facilities for advanced molecular analyses.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is: Assistant: $104,228 - $154,228; Associate: $125,000 - $185,000; Professor: $135,000 - $225,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
Requirements: 1. PhD or equivalent research focused doctoral degree. For Assistant Professor Rank: 1. Postdoctoral fellowship training or equivalent research or policy experience. For Associate or Full Professor Rank: 1. Active program of extramurally funded research; 2. Demonstrated history of strong interprofessional and/or transdisciplinary collaboration; 3. Demonstrated evidence of successful mentoring of early career faculty, doctoral students, and post-doctoral fellows.
Preferred: 1. University teaching experience; 2. Track-record of successful extramural funding (Assistant Professor); 3. Advanced Practice Registered Nursing license (NP, CNM, CNS, CRNA).
