ABOUT

The pharmaceutical discipline of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) was founded in the early 1950s by the famous pharmacologist Professor Jin, Zhengjun. Aiming at setting up an integrated state-of-art research system in pharmaceutical field, it has been achieving remarkable accomplishment. In 2017, “Pharmacy” discipline at SJTU was ranked as one of top six in China by Ministry of Education of China. Besides, “Pharmacology and Toxicology” in SJTU was ranked 18th by the US News and top 1‰ by the ESI. “Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science” in SJTU was ranked 35th by Academic Ranking of World Universities.

Tenure-track Associate Professors

SUBJECTS:

Pharmacology, especially neuropharmacology, cancer pharmacology, immunopharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology, etc
Chemical Biology; Synthetic Biology; Structural Biology;
Toxicology; Drug Metabolism
Medicinal Chemistry (small molecules, large molecules, biologics, and ADC, etc.);
Pharmaceutical microbiology; Pharmacognosy

Distinguished Professors（Tenured Position）
1. Possessing rigorous scholarship, integrity, and dedication to academic ethic and excellence;
2. Earned an PhD degree or MD degree，and had outstanding teaching, scientific research and social service performance;
3. Acquired outstanding academic achievements and international reputations in the field with peer recognition;
4. Possessing innovative and strategic thinking on the discipline construction and the ability of leading.

Tenured Professors
1. Possessing rigorous scholarship, integrity, and dedication to academic ethic and excellence;
2. Earned an PhD degree or MD degree，and had outstanding teaching, scientific research and social service performance;
3. Acquired significant achievements and reputation in the field with peer recognition;
4. Possessing active academic thinking and great potential for development in the discipline construction.

Tenure-track Associate Professors
1. Possessing rigorous scholarship, integrity, and dedication to academic ethic and excellence;
2. Being younger than 40 years old；
3. Earned an PhD degree or MD degree，and had 3 years relevant academic work experience;
4. Carrying out innovative research in academic foreland and acquiring important achievements and displaying strong academic potentials; Possessing the ability to conduct academic research, give lectures, and direct doctoral candidates independently;
5. Clearing future research directions in line with the needs of the development of the discipline and faculty team.
