Third Party Accounts Coordinator - Accounting Technician

Job Summary:
This position is the college liaison with third party customers who is responsible for billing and collecting all third party accounts receivable for the college. The position provides planning and maintenance of third-party student records in the college's student record system (ISRS). It further reviews authorizations and charges for accuracy, compliance and approval. This position coordinates scholarships award activity for student records and provides customer service to scholarship organizations.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for billing and collection of third-party authorizations from agencies.
- Responsible for coordinating and awarding scholarships to students
- Cashiering / Customer Service at Tuition Windows
- Responsible for providing customer service to students, SPC departments, third party customers, scholarship organizations, public and private organizations.
- Provide accounts receivable tasks related to Post Secondary Education Option (PSEO) students, Alliss Grant billings (books), and specific student populations such as Wards of State, War Orphans, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $22.91 - $32.37 hourly.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of accounts receivables experience.
- Experience in a customer service setting.
- Experience in reconciling accounts to identify errors.
- Experience interpreting a variety of materials and handling complex issues.
- Demonstrates time management, organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work successfully in both one-on-one and group situations.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- MnSCU/ISRS/SWIFT accounting & procurement systems.
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Two or more years of experience in a higher education working with Third Party payments.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of governmental accounting, relational databases and client server computer systems.
