"Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Catalyst Design"

The University of Ottawa invites applications for a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Sustainable Catalyst Design. The successful candidate will join the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences in the Faculty of Science with a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Full Professor.

The candidate will lead a research program focused on sustainable catalyst design, bridging catalysis, inorganic chemistry, chemical biology, and materials science. They will collaborate with the Centre for Catalysis Research and Innovation and align with the university's strategic research areas, including the circular economy.

Access to outstanding facilities is provided, supported by Canada Foundation for Innovation grants. The position is for outstanding researchers, with a seven-year term renewable once.

Required Qualifications: PhD in Chemistry or related field; internationally recognized record in catalysis; leadership in research funding; commitment to teaching, graduate training, and equity, diversity, and inclusion; excellent communication skills in English or French.

Duties: Teaching, research, academic service, and graduate student supervision.

Rank and Salary: Full Professor, starting at $131,803 annually.
