Description
Manages the day-to-day operations of a large university program or department, including the supervision of staff employees, student workers, programs or processes.
- Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or program.
- Manages fiscal activities, including procurement and budget analysis.
- Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
- Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
- Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities.
- May administer grants and grant-related communications, scholarships and other operations.
- Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
- May serve as property custodian for the department.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist in engaging with campus and community stakeholders, while project management experience is critical for coordinating cross-departmental initiatives. The candidate should be data-driven, sustainability-minded, and capable of balancing operational efficiency with equity and accessibility in campus mobility programs.
Experience will be considered in lieu of education.

MQ: Education
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Experience
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.

The ideal candidate will develop and implement Transportation Demand Management (TDM) initiatives that promote sustainable transportation practices. This role will lead outreach and education efforts to raise awareness of alternative transportation programs and strategies across the campus community. The candidate will collaborate closely with campus partners and stakeholder groups to increase visibility and participation in sustainable transportation programs and services. They will also work with local transit agencies, municipalities, and regional partners to align campus TDM initiatives with broader transportation planning efforts. Additionally, the role will involve organizing workshops, events, and seminars to engage the campus community and encourage participation in TDM initiatives, as well as assisting in the development of marketing materials and communication strategies to effectively promote TDM programs.
