Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Unit Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit. Specific duties include performing reception functions. collecting and compiling patient data. assembling medical records. and assisting with patient admission/discharge. Performs routine patient care functions as needed and will perform other related duties as required. The successful candidate for this job posting will work at the new Irvine Acute Rehab Hospital, a joint UCI Health / LifePoint venture, anticipated to open summer of 2026.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

• Prior work administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting
• Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Current BLS certification upon hire (must be issued by the AHA)
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of medical terminology and Universal Precautions
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support
