Your Responsibilities

• Conduct 324 teaching lessons (each lesson lasting 45 minutes) per academic year for classes of various levels (ranging from A1 to B2 and from the 1st to 5th year).
• Develop teaching materials including courses, tests, and exam topics.
• Take part in discussions regarding syllabus design and its revisions, pedagogical meetings.
• Engage in student evaluation, which includes monitoring and grading exams.
• Contribute to pedagogical reforms, events, and other activities related to French teaching.

Appointment Requirements

• Teaching Oriented Professor: Should possess extensive teaching experience, having held the position of teaching associate professor for at least 5 years or having made remarkable achievements in aspects like teaching associate professor work, quality course and textbook construction, teaching team building, and young teacher training. Generally, the age should not exceed 50 years old.
• Teaching Associate Professor: Need to have rich teaching experience, having held the position of lecturer for at least 2 years or a combined tenure of lecturer and assistant professor for at least 2 years. Should be capable of effectively handling important basic or public course teaching and fulfilling the required teaching load, with good results in educational reform and research. Generally, the age should not exceed 40 years old.
• Lecturer: Should have a solid educational background, a passion for teaching, good teaching potential, and the ability to teach important basic or public courses. Generally, the age should not exceed 35 years old.

Required Skills

• Exhibit excellent French proficiency.
• Hold a master’s degree in relevant fields such as the Didactics of French or Teaching French as a Foreign Language.
• Have at least 3 years of experience in teaching French at the higher education level.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
• Candidates with DELF/DALF examiner qualifications will be given preference.
• Candidates with overseas study experience and work experience in international cooperative education programs will be given preference.
• Be serious, energetic, open-minded, and adaptable.
• Possess good interpersonal skills, team spirit, and the ability to work in a supportive team with French colleagues.
• Have a good command of English for communication with the institute’s administration and colleagues during meetings.

Type of Contract

• 5-year renewable contract. For lecturers, the contract will end automatically if not promoted to associate professor.
