Job Description
Service oriented with general knowledge of building maintenance.
This employee must have basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical,
plumbing, and mechanical systems. This employee will respond to
work orders on a tablet with our work order system.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- 1–2 years’ experience in building maintenance preferred
Education
- High School diploma or GED required
Licenses/Certifications/Credentials
- Valid driver’s license is required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This is an essential staff position that may be required to
report to work when the university is closed or during inclement
weather when a state-of-emergency has been declared. This position
is part of the on-call rotation and will have to help with snow
removal if needed. This employee will work with all trades to
assist with work orders or projects as needed. Will be working on
the general work orders, such as replacing ceiling tiles, light
bulbs, and changing air filters in HVAC units.

- Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
- Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee
handbooks and policies.
Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and
punctuality.
Other duties, including special projects, as required or
assigned.
Overtime may be required at times, vacation approval may be
limited during peak activity periods.
