General description:
- designing and updating curricula and adapting professional higher education programmes to relevant requirements
- organising or co-organising all activities required to deliver a course in accordance with the curriculum and developments in the discipline, and coordinating and supervising the work of other course providers (assistants, technical staff and other colleagues)
- delivering lectures, conducting seminars and carrying out other teaching activities within the course
- administering, assessing and marking examination assignments and tests
- supervising students in the preparation of final theses and other work
- participating in other activities related to teaching in the relevant field (recognition of foreign qualifications, etc.)
- conducting scientific research and studying and developing concepts, theories and methods
- ensuring the safety and health at work of employees and students in the unit, including appropriate training and instruction for persons who come into contact with hazardous substances, the use of personal protective equipment and other safety measures
- performing other duties falling within the broader professional scope of the position

Skills/Qualifications
Requirements for the position:
- a doctoral degree under the pre-Bologna system in Architecture, Urbanism or Art History; OR
- a third-cycle (Bologna) doctoral degree in Architecture, Urbanism or Art History; OR
- recognition of significant artistic works in the field of Architecture; and
- a valid habilitation title of Assistant Professor in Architecture, Urbanism or Design. A candidate who does not hold the required title at the time of application but meets the quantitative and qualitative criteria for election to this title under the Statutes of the University of Ljubljana (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 4/2017, as amended) and the Criteria for Appointment to the Titles of University Teachers, Researchers and Associates at the University of Ljubljana (consolidated text UPB5 of 22 November 2022) may apply for the position. In this case, the candidate must submit evidence of meeting the stated criteria together with the application and enclose a statement consenting that, if the selection committee so decides, the application may also be considered an application for election to the title or for recognition of the equivalence of the title. The Criteria are available on the University of Ljubljana website.

Additional comments
Salary: The basic salary is determined by placement in starting pay grade 35, amounting to EUR 3,456.37 gross. The gradual elimination of salary disparities through 2028 must also be taken into account; as of 1 June 2026, the basic salary is EUR 3,187.38 gross.
