The Opportunity

The University of Newcastle Research Excellence Fellowships aims to attract, support and empower world-class researchers.  

This prestigious program will accelerate innovation, collaboration and excellence by welcoming Fellows into strong research teams with demonstrated ability to nurture the next generation of research leaders and deliver outcomes that matter. 

The University will offer up to six (6) Research Excellence Fellowships to join one of our world-class research environments. 

About the Role

The Fellowship includes a Level B-D academic salary for four years, with the fourth year subject to performance, and a one off $50,000 in start-up funding. There is an expectation that the Fellows must submit competitive fellowship applications within the first 12-18 months in the role.

Our researchers are known for combining research and academic excellence with unparalleled industry engagement. As a Fellow, you will help deliver transformative solutions in conveyor technologies, storage systems and flow optimisation to support critical minerals, particle mechanics and next generation handling technologies.
