The University of Rijeka, Faculty of Health Studies, Croatia, invites applications for the following vacancy:

One associate to the vacant associate position of Research Assistant, in the scientific area of biomedicine and health care, field of clinical medical sciences at the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Rijeka – a full-time job (at 100%), temporary.

Specific Requirements

Applicants for the academic positions must meet the requirements stipulated by the Act on the Higher Education and Scientific Activity, as well as the provisions of Articles 30 and 31 of the Statute of the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Rijeka.

Applicants for the competition must submit:

• the application form,
• a curriculum vitae (CV),
• decision of the Scientific Field Committee on appointment to a scientific rank (for applicants who already possess such a decision),
• certified copies of personal documentation (degree certificates, Citizenship Certificate),
• a list of publications, excerpts, indexation, and citation confirmation issued by the Library of Biomedicine and Health Care of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka,
• applicants who are not Croatian native speakers must submit evidence of Croatian language proficiency at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages,
• applicants who acquired foreign education qualifications must submit a decision issued by the competent Croatian authority on the recognition of foreign higher education qualifications
• transcript of records (for the associate position of Research Assistant).

Application, CV, list of publications, and the required documentation for the selection procedure must be submitted in electronic form.

Eligibility criteria

The application may be submitted by persons of any gender identity (Act on Gender Equality, Official Gazette, No. 82/08 and No. 69/17).

Applicants who are entitled to the right of priority to employment under the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette, No. 84/21) are obliged to submit, along with the application, all necessary documentation as prescribed in Article 49 of the aforementioned Act. Selection process

By applying to the competition, the applicants explicitly agree that the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Rijeka, as the controller of the personal data collection, may collect, use, and further process their data for the purpose of conducting selection procedure, in accordance with regulations governing personal data protection.

The Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Rijeka reserves the right not to make a decision on the selection of any candidate, without the obligation to explain its decision or assume any responsibility towards the candidates, and reserves the right to cancel the competition in whole or in part without explanation.

All applicants will be notified of the competition results on the Faculty's website within 8 days from the completion of the selection process.
