Offer Description
The competition is open to candidates who meet the criteria set forth in Articles 113 and 116 of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and Table 7a in Annex No. 4 to the Statute of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, which constitutes an annex to Resolution No. 494 of the Senate of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn of May 21, 2019, on the Statute of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, as amended.

Skills/Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- At least a Master’s degree (magister or equivalent professional title),
- Experience in conducting classes/instruction in the field of graphic design,
- Proficiency in key graphic design software and tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or others (including 3D environments),
- Knowledge of and ability to apply UI/UX principles; expertise in interaction design within visual communication,
- Presentation of a concept/proposal for implementing the curriculum requirements for conducting graphic design classes.
Additional Requirements (Desirable):
- A Master’s degree (magister) in the discipline of Fine Arts and Art Conservation; a specialization in graphic design is preferred,
- A strong aptitude for teaching and working with students,
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team,
- A portfolio of works in visual communication and graphic design for both traditional and digital media,
- Awareness of current trends in graphic design, with the ability to adapt and create projects in line with modern standards and preferences,
- Proficiency in print production and knowledge of prepress/DTP processes,
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to share ideas and make clear design decisions,
- Ability to design websites and adapt graphic layouts to user interfaces,
- Documented artistic activity,
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of the Polish language (applicable to foreign nationals).

- Document confirming proficiency in the Polish language – applicable to foreign nationals,
- Statement confirming that the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn will be the primary place of employment*,
- Statement confirming a state of health that allows for the performance of work in the aforementioned position (not applicable to current UWM employees)*,
- Consent to the processing of personal data*,
- Declaration of no criminal record for intentional offenses or intentional fiscal offenses,
- Declaration of no criminal record regarding offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Polish Penal Code, in Art. 189a and Art. 207 of the Penal Code (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2025, item 383, as amended) and in the Act of July 29, 2005, on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939), or for prohibited acts under foreign law corresponding to these offenses.

Selection process
The selection process consists of two stages:
- Evaluation of the documentation submitted by the candidate,
- An interview with the candidate.

- Applications for the competition must be submitted to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Arts, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, ul. Szrajbera 11, room 113, 10-007 Olsztyn, Poland from September 7, 2026, until October 7, 2026 (by 12:00 PM);
- The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn will be the primary place of employment within the meaning of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571);
- Notifying a candidate that they have not been selected is equivalent to the rejection of their application;
- The final decision regarding the competition will be made within two weeks from the deadline for submitting documents;
