The Waubonsee Upward Bound program is seeking instructors to teach summer courses during a five-week summer program.
Subjects include:
Mathematics (Algebra through Calculus),
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering)
World Language (Arabic, French, German, Mandarin, or Spanish)
Electives in Social Science, Business, Health, etc.
Instructors are scheduled to work Monday - Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Course dates:
June 8 - 10, 2026
June 15 - 17, 2026
June 22 - 24, 2026
June 29 - July 1, 2026
July 6 - 8, 2026
Mandatory dates:
Staff Orientation A - May 26, 2026, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Virtual - Zoom)
Staff Orientation B - June 2, 2026, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (in-person)
Open House - July 9, 2026, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Completed at least 2 years of teaching at the high school or college level. Substitute and student teaching experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to meet diverse learning requirements of students and experience working with diverse student populations.
