Position Summary:

The STARLAB at Central Michigan University is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to work on an NSF funded project aiming to investigate the U burial pathways in the oceans. The initial appointment is for one year; extension of the position is contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Geochemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related fields (received within the last six years). ABD candidates will be considered, provided the degree is conferred by the start date of the appointment.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with synchrotron-based absorption spectroscopy.
  • Experience with trace metal analysis.
