VET Quality Advisor

About the Role

Passionate about quality in vocational education and training (VET)?

Join Swinburne as a Quality Advisor and play a key role in supporting high-quality training and assessment across our vocational education programs.

As part of the VE Quality and Policy team, you’ll help ensure our programs meet regulatory and funding requirements while supporting a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Manager, VE Quality and Business Improvement, you’ll work closely with VET teaching teams and external partners, providing practical advice and guidance on quality practices, training and assessment standards, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.

This is a collaborative role where you’ll work across the University to support quality improvement initiatives, interpret VET regulatory requirements, and help ensure our programs are delivered consistently and to a high standard.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Strong knowledge of VET quality frameworks, policy requirements, and regulatory or funding body obligations, and how they apply in a university environment
  • The ability to interpret and apply VET regulatory and funding requirements across a range of practical situations
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
  • Strong attention to detail and initiative, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare reports and communicate complex information clearly
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, along with experience using project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • TAE 40116 (Certification IV Training & Assessment) or equivalent
