Job Duties:
The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh invites applications for a full-time Videographer within the Department of Marketing. In this role, you will conceptualize, produce, and post-produce high-quality video content that advances the university’s strategic communications, marketing, and storytelling goals across a wide range of platforms and audiences.
Working in a collaborative, creative environment, you will capture the breadth of campus life—from academic achievements and student stories to athletic events, institutional announcements, and community partnerships.
This position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, carry and operate equipment, and travel to off-campus locations. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required to accommodate athletic events, ceremonies, and other campus programming.

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in video production, including filming, directing, and editing.
- Proficiency in professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of camera operation, lighting design, and audio recording in diverse environments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse campus and community constituents.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to on- and off-campus locations, including occasional evening and weekend shoots.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a higher education, nonprofit, or media production environment.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, or 2D/3D visual effects.
- Experience with drone/UAV videography (FAA Part 107 certification a plus).
- Familiarity with live streaming platforms and broadcast production workflows.
- Photography skills to supplement video assignments as needed.
- Portfolio demonstrating range across short-form social content, long-form storytelling, event coverage, and promotional video.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in film production, communications, journalism, digital media, or a related field—OR—an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
