Job Summary
Mercy University invites nominations and applications for a 9-month or 12-month Visiting faculty position for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at our Westchester campus (Dobbs Ferry, NY). Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
This position requires the ability to teach in a variety of courses. Responsibilities include teaching with an emphasis on high impact teaching practices, inclusive pedagogy, and active learning.
Required Skills & Experience
- Teaching experience – minimum two years.
- Unencumbered NYS License.
- Experience teaching in an online format.
- Experience in clinical practice for FNP formation.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
Education Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD, DSci) is required with national certification in a NP specialty (family, adult or pediatrics).
Physical/Other Requirements
- Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policies.
