Visiting Assistant Professor Educational Research
Job Summary
Reporting to the department chair, the Visiting Assistant Professor of Educational Research will teach undergraduate and graduate online courses in research methods. The teaching load for this position will be 15 credit hours (5 courses) per semester. This individual will also be expected to participate in college, department, and educational research unit meetings and activities. This is a Spring Semester appointment for the months of January 2026 through May 2026. All visiting positions are non-tenure track appointments. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in Educational Research, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Educational Research, by December 1, 2025
- Coursework in and experience with research methods
- Willingness to teach online courses
- Commitment to excellence in teaching
- Commitment to using technology in teaching
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment in the department, college, and University
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience in higher education
- Experience with online learning as instructor or student
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
