Job Description

Position Summary:

The Department of Mathematics at Rollins College invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning August 2026. The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Math Education. ABD candidates with a plan to finish the degree will also be considered. We are interested in applicants with a passion for teaching. The teaching load for this position is four courses per semester.

Our location in Central Florida provides opportunities for collaboration not only with the members of the Rollins community, but also with faculty from a variety of other academic institutions. Members of the department have active research programs in Social Justice, Financial Mathematics, Mathematical Biology, and Graph Theory.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:

• Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Math Education.
  + ABD candidates with a plan to finish the degree will also be considered.
• Demonstrates an understanding that a liberal arts education includes a student-centered undergraduate experience with a focus on teaching.
