"Visiting Lecturer"

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and student-focused Visiting Lecturer to deliver our academic and professional development skills module for postgraduate students. This module provides academic skills support to Business students to enable them to excel academically and professionally. You will provide support for individuals and groups mostly online. Areas will include:

• Academic writing including essays, reflections, and critical appraisals;
• General academic skills including time management, presentations, group work skills;
• Information literacy and critical analysis;
• Professional application for placements and CV writing;
• Qualitative and quantitative research methods;
• Academic self-efficacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop engaging, high-quality learning and teaching resources for delivery across three academic terms;
• Deliver online seminars;
• Contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment;
• Use online learning platforms, including Moodle, to support engagement;
• Provide academic guidance and feedback to students.

Applicants should possess experience in delivering blended learning through both face-to-face and online seminars, plus asynchronous recorded sessions. You will be an academic who is student-focused, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, comfortable working with various online platforms such as Moodle. We require the successful candidate to start as soon as possible, and they must have right to work in the UK.
