Visiting Scholar
This temporary Visiting Scholar position provides hands-on research experience across a wide range of agricultural production systems. The selected candidate will contribute to applied research projects focused on integrated pest management, pollinator health, and invasive species management across multiple specialty crops.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and execution of field research experiments
- Support data collection activities in field and greenhouse environments
- Conduct greenhouse experiments under supervision
- Participate in research projects focused on:
- Integrated vegetable pest management (onions and peppers)
- Pollinator health in cucurbit production systems
- Invasive species management in grape production
- Maintain accurate research records and ensure data integrity
- Follow safety and research protocols in both field and controlled environments
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required in a related field
- Agriculture
- Plant Science
- Horticulture
- Entomology
- Crop Science
- Plant Pathology
- Biology (with plant or ecological focus)
- Ability to work in outdoor agricultural settings and greenhouse environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow research protocols
- Effective communication and teamwork skills

- Prior experience in agricultural research, fieldwork, or laboratory settings
