Summary of Position
Our Integrative Health Program invites applications for a Yoga Teacher Training Instructor to lead and facilitate our Yoga Alliance-approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program. This role is ideal for a passionate, experienced yoga educator who is committed to teaching the foundations of yoga with integrity, inclusivity, and professionalism. The instructor will guide students through the full spectrum of yoga education-including practice, philosophy, teaching methodology, anatomy, and ethics-preparing them to become confident and skilled yoga teachers. This position requires both teaching and mentorship, ensuring that students not only gain competence but also embody the principles of yoga in their personal and professional lives.

The compensation for this position is $1,177.73 to $1,294.58/per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time, FLSA exempt, temporary staff position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
Essential Responsibilities
- Teach and facilitate all aspects of the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum in alignment with Yoga Alliance standards.
- Provide clear instruction in asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, anatomy/physiology, and the ethics of teaching.
- Mentor students in developing their teaching voice, sequencing skills, and class presence.
- Create an inclusive, trauma-aware, and culturally respectful learning environment.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the Integrative Health Professions program to maintain high-quality instruction and program integrity.
- Ensure that training hours and requirements meet Yoga Alliance credentialing standards.
Qualifications
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Strong knowledge of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to inclusivity, ethics, and professionalism in yoga education.
- Ability to mentor and inspire students on their teaching journey
Required Qualifications
- E-RYT 500 credential with Yoga Alliance.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in group and private yoga settings.
- Commitment to inclusivity, ethics, and professionalism in yoga education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience teaching in a 200-hour teacher training program.
- Additional training in specialized modalities (e.g., trauma-informed yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, integrative health).
- Collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for holistic health education.
Physical & Cognitive Demands

- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
- This position operates in an classroom environment and occasionally uses a computer, and routinely uses gym equipment, standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Cognitive demands include mentoring, comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.
Advertised Hourly Pay
The hourly pay for this position is $1,177.73 to $1,294.58/per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time, FLSA exempt temporary staff position and may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need.
This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
