Youth Programming Staff (Pool) - Mount Wachusett Community College
General Statement of Duties:
Youth Programming Staff will work for the Division of Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development (LLL&WFD). Youth Programming staff will work as Coordinators, Instructors, and Counselors within youth programs offered throughout the year. Placement will depend on responsibilities, experience, and qualifications. All Youth Programming Staff will be responsible for creating a safe, and inviting environment for all students of the program while supporting individual social and emotional needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and support Youth Programming as Coordinator, Instructor, Counselor, and Staff.
- Provide a safe and inclusive environment for all students of the program.
- Provide support for age-appropriate social and emotional wellbeing.
- Know, understand, and uphold all policies and emergency procedures associated with Youth Programming and MWCC.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong interest in working in youth programming.
- Able to complete all required paperwork and background checks as directed by the MWCC HR Department.
- Attend and participate in all onboarding responsibilities as directed by the MWCC HR Department.
- Able to produce a fully executed Youth Employment Permit (work permit), as needed.
- Availability during program operation times and attend any professional development opportunities as outlined by the Assistant Manager of Community Education and Youth Programming.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Passion for working with elementary and middle school aged students.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude with students, co-workers, and the college community.
- Ability to accomplish tasks independently.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current certifications in CPR (child and adult levels) and basic first aid.
- Experience working in youth programming and/or with elementary and middle school aged students.

Additional Information:
Salary: $15.00 - $30.00 per Hour (varies with position)
Employee Status: Part-Time
Benefits: No
Hours per Week: Between 7:45 am - 3:45pm, up to 5 days a week; Monday - Friday.
