Position Overview

As a leader in nursing education, the Winston-Salem State University Division of Nursing is committed to providing diverse populations with a transformative educational experience rooted in the HBCU traditions. Teach and facilitate face to face clinical instruction related to the application of nursing theories, principles, and skill competencies. Coach and mentor students during the clinical experience and beyond.

Minimum Experience/Education

• Master of Science in Nursing Education. Under special circumstances, consideration may be given to persons with a baccalaureate degree with preparation in teaching and learning principles in adult education, as defined by the Board of Nursing.
• A minimum of two (calendar) years’ full-time employment or equivalent in clinical nursing practice as a registered nurse.
• Work experience and/or teaching experience in adult health/medical-surgical nursing.
• Current unrestricted RN license to practice in the state of North Carolina
