2026/2027 Adjunct Lecturer - Mathematics
SUMMARY
The Department of Mathematics at SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for part-time adjunct faculty openings.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions:
Teaching (100%)
- Teaches assigned mathematics courses. Responsible for preparing material and instructing 3 hours of lectures per week per 3 credit course. Possible courses taught include MTH 110, 111, 112, 122, 221, and 243. Responsible for 4+ hours of grading per week
- Engages in experiential and hands-on education when appropriate
- Produces effective course materials
- Achieves student learning outcomes
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or equivalent professional experience
- Teaching experience at either the secondary or tertiary level, as a tutor, teaching assistant, or instructor of record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Experience teaching as an instructor of record in college-level courses
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Work Schedule: Variable
Salary and Benefits:
