The Nursing Lab Coordinator assists Nursing faculty to support student success and learning outcomes; oversees the use of the Immersive Learning Center; maintains lab safety and security; assists with testing; and monitors and maintains inventory for the labs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience working in a simulation center; instructional experience; a commitment to support student success at the undergraduate and graduate levels; engaging communication skills; and excellent time management, problem solving, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist faculty with nursing courses to support student success and learning outcomes
• Assist faculty and students with lab simulation equipment, exercises, and exams
• Collaborate with Nursing faculty to maximize use of the Immersive Learning Center
• Support faculty in coordination of Immersive Learning Center usage
• Promote computerized-assisted instruction, simulation experiences, and audio-visual instruction
• Demonstrate clinical skills to nursing students at the undergraduate and graduate level
• Provide remediation and support to nursing students
• Supervise students during drop-in lab sessions
• Provide student feedback to instructors
• Provide orientation to new faculty to the Immersive Learning Center
• Coordinate undergraduate and graduate level labs
• Assist faculty with computerized testing
• Maintain a safe environment in the Immersive Learning Center and stay up to date on safety regulations
• Maintain resource list of equipment and holdings
• Maintain lab and equipment security
• Determine the inventory needs and purchases lab supplies
• Maintain budgets in collaboration with the Department Chairperson
• Serve as an active member of the Faculty Committee
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
• Three years of current clinical nursing experience
• Demonstrated computerized simulation knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• Instructional experience
• Experience working in a simulation center
• Experience using student information systems such as Navigate and Banner
• Knowledge FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), and/or local and federal regulations regarding higher education records and privacy
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator certification
