Scope of Job:

The University College at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is seeking applicants for a Non-Tenure Track Lecturer I in UNIV 1301 Learning Framework and UNIV 1101 Academic & Career Success. This first-year course, which is a part of UTRGV's Student Success and Retention Initiatives, focuses on research-based findings on the application of learning and motivation.

The position is a three-year appointment beginning in the Fall of 2026. The selected applicant(s) will teach in-person multiple sections of UNIV 1301 Learning Framework and/or UNIV 1101 Academic & Career Success using research-based teaching methodologies. The applicant(s) will also serve on program and university committees, maintain appropriate office hours, and fulfill other responsibilities required of a lecturer at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must have a Master's degree, demonstrated knowledge of best practices in teaching, and experience working with college students is required.
