Job Description
The University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a passionate and skilled Pediatric Physiatrist to join our expanding Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. This non-tenure track faculty position offers an exceptional opportunity to provide clinical care and education within Missouri’s only dedicated children’s hospital in mid-Missouri.
Clinical and Teaching Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care in Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Teach and mentor rotating residents and medical students in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Collaborate with a growing team of pediatric specialists committed to family-centered, multidisciplinary care.
Program Highlights:
- Newly opened, state-of-the-art 90-bed Children’s Hospital located on the main MU Health Care campus.
- Only children’s hospital in mid-Missouri, adjacent to the region’s only Level I trauma center.
- Full continuum of pediatric rehabilitation services for children aged 3 months to 18 years, including post-injury, post-illness, and post-surgical care.
- Tiger Intensive Therapy program offers tailored outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
- Family-centered model with private rooms, encouraging parent involvement and easing transitions to home or outpatient care.

Minimum Qualifications: M.D or D.O. in Physiatry
