Job Summary

The Staff Associate will assist the principal investigator with a national study investigating the role of in-hospital factors, rehabilitation, and social determinants of health for long-term recovery outcomes in patients who have survived acute medical events (e.g., cardiac arrest). The candidate will work with methodologies related to in-person and remote assessments of cognition, emotion, neurological recovery, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

1. Functional Knowledge (40%)
   Knowledge of the research subject and scientific methods of analysis.
2. Problem Solving (30%)
   Utilizes analytical skills to solve moderately complex problems based on guidelines, protocols, and procedures.
3. Decision Making/Autonomy (10%)
   Works within guidelines to carry out assigned duties in the design of apparatus, the adaptation of relevant technology to the needs of a project, the conduct of specific experiments, and the analysis of data.
4. Technical Expertise (10%)
   Works within guidelines to carry out assigned duties in the design of apparatus, the adaptation of relevant technology to the needs of a project, the conduct of specific experiments, and the analysis.
5. Communication (10%)
   Shares information and confirmation of data.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in specific research field
• 4 years experience preferred
