Academic Services Administration Officer
About This Opportunity
The Academic Services Administration Officer will provide high-quality client focused administrative services to support the University’s academic activities in a busy centralised service area.
Key Responsibilities will Include:
- Provision of information and advice on a range of administrative matters to a wide range of stakeholders, through various channels of communication.
- Provision of information and recommendations to decision-makers in relation to student and academic matters in accordance with University rules, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Provides high-level administrative support and coordination for the Academic Services Division (ASD). This includes but is not limited to assessing applications, coordinating and processing requests, documentation, and communication for the respective ASD teams.
- Assist with processes for reviewing and managing the accuracy of the information in relevant University databases, websites, and publications.
- Assist with internal, government, and regulatory reporting, student enrolment surveillance, quality assurance, and risk management processes as required.

About You
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under general direction, and within a team environment, to prioritise own workload, meet deadlines and work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, and handle sensitive and confidential matters, using sound judgement and discretion.
- High-level competence in the use of a wide range of computer applications in a network environment; experience with databases and management information systems including SI-net, Business Objects, UniFi, CRM, and TRIM or a capacity to rapidly gain such knowledge.
- Demonstrated initiative, agility and openness to change, displaying a desire to learn new skills.
- A strong focus on the provision of a high-level customer service in a high-volume environment.
- Sound understanding of University rules, policies and procedures and experience with using enterprise systems. or a capacity to rapidly gain such knowledge.
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, and criminal history checks.
This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
