Accountant II, Finance
Class Description
This is a temporary 18-month assignment.
The purpose of this class is to provide accounting support for the College, including internal auditing, financial reporting and account reconciliation, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and federal, state and local guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
Associate’s degree and five years related experience or bachelor’s degree and three years related experience; knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications and financial management systems. Experience working in higher education and Banner is preferred.

Class Specific Essential Duties
- Prepare revenue and expense transfers.
- Monitor, audit and reconcile accounts.
- Analyze data and prepare adjusting entries.
- Monitor and distribute accounting reports and act as liaison with organization managers and project directors.
- Prepare accounting schedules and reports for management and for external auditors and agencies.
- Prepare budget forecasts and revenue and expense trend analyses.

Position Specific Essential Duties
- Track and project assigned revenue accounts.
- Assist with Grant monitoring and reporting.
- Assign general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with audit schedules.
- Prepare quarterly invoices for the extension centers.
- Work on special projects assigned by the Accounting Director, including research and analysis.
