Accounting Assistant I
Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities
Data entry, records maintenance, and report preparation.
- Maintaining departmental financial accounts
- Placing orders for equipment and supplies as related to teaching and research
- Assist in planning and management of departmental activities
- Ordering and obtaining office supplies
- Working with the Offices of Procurement and University Accounting
Minimum Education Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements
One year experience in bookkeeping or accounts management. Related college education may be exchanged for the experience requirement. Ability to work with details. Memory for oral and written directions, alertness, initiative, ability to plan and make decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Keyboarding, filing, bookkeeping and microcomputer.
