Cash Reconciliation:

• Download activity in Banner Finance and the State’s RSTARS system.
• Rollforward the monthly reconciliation file and prepare it for the current month’s reconciliation.
• Reconcile the two systems by identifying matching transactions and inquire about outstanding, unreconciled items.

Journal Entries and Corrections:

• Prepare journal entries to correct errors in financial records, ensuring accuracy in appropriation line postings as provided by other members of the department.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve mispostings and provide guidance on appropriate coding practices.

Data Entry and Record Management:

• Maintain accurate and organized records for all reconciliation, journal entries, and corrections.
• Ensure data entry in the Banner system is error-free, with 100% accuracy.
• Assist in uploading any files to BDM (Banner Data Management) to the State’s E-Books platform.

Administrative Functions:

• Use the Department’s purchasing card to replenish supplies, maintain subscriptions, or other approved purchases as needed, maintain all appropriate receipts, and complete the monthly expense log.
• Maintain the Comptroller’ Department website by updating it as directed.
• Assist visitors to the Department suite as needed.
