The Finance Division is currently undertaking an ambitious multi-year transformation programme, introducing new systems and ways of working through to 2027 and beyond. This has led to new opportunities for multiple Accounting Services Team Leader roles on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2027.
The Finance Division is seeking three Team Leaders to make an impact across our key financial service functions. We are looking for a flexible, proactive leaders who thrives on variety and collaboration. In this roving role, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and the Finance Helpdesk -bringing consistency and support wherever it's needed most. The Role
You will manage a team, oversee day-to-day operations, and drive process improvements to enhance service delivery. You will maintain robust financial controls, support audits, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies. The role also involves stakeholder engagement, resolving escalated queries, and contributing to projects that improve systems and processes.
Your Skills
You will have:
- Demonstrable experience in financial services across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, or Finance Helpdesk.
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating operations.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and finance systems (e.g., Oracle, Unit4, SAP) are essential.
- AAT qualification or equivalent professional experience is required.

Location
The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2027 in the first instance.
