Support Delivery of Right to Study Checks and Visa Workshops
Job Purpose: The post holder will support delivery of Right to Study checks, Identity checks and Visa Extension workshops which form part of the enrolment process for the start of the academic year. The post holder will check uploaded documents for identity, nationality and immigration status and update the Student Record system as appropriate. Additionally, these posts will support the delivery of in-person student facing activities including Right to Study checks and Visa Extension workshops.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- To check the identity, passport and immigration documentation uploaded by students and update the university’s live student record system.
- To support the delivery of in-person student facing activities related to Right to Study Checks
- Any other duties as allocated by the line manager following consultation with the post holder.
Essential Skills:
- Experienced in using computer packages (e.g. Microsoft Office suite)
- Experience in using Banner
- Ability to follow a process
- Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
- Experience in customer service or working in a fast paced environment is an advantage.
- Work within the bounds of the University’s Confidentiality Policy and the Data Protection Act
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of working in a busy customer service environment
- Able to understand cultural diversity.
