Adjunct - AY26 African American Studies Instructor
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is accepting applications for part-time Adjunct African American Studies Instructor positions for the 2026 Academic Year. The role involves teaching African American Studies classes, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments, and supporting diverse student learning. Successful candidates must hold a Master's degree in African-American/Black/Africana Studies or a Bachelor's degree in the same field plus a Master's in Ethnic Studies, or equivalent. The position requires sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Compensation is $86.85 per standard hour, plus a $20.32 office hour differential. Faculty may conduct classes in virtual learning environments.
